IMPACT
REPORT
Dear Friends and Family,

At Jacob’s Heart, love is more than a feeling, it’s a force. It carries families through the unthinkable, inspires acts of generosity, and drives every moment of care we offer to children with cancer and their families and families who grieve the loss of their child.

This year’s impact report is a reflection of that love in action. It tells the story of what happens when a community comes together, when volunteers, donors, staff, and families join hearts to ensure that no child or sibling or parent walks this path alone.

Below, you’ll see the resilience of our children, the strength of their families, and the unwavering dedication of our team. You’ll also see yourself, because none of this happens without you.

Thank you for believing in this work. Thank you for being part of our Jacob’s Heart family. Our door is always open to you and my hope is when you read about the impact you’ve made that you’ll follow any stirring to learn more.

With gratitude and hope,

Together, we served 1,822 individuals in 2024
Thanks to our generous community, Jacob's Heart continues to improve the quality of life for children with cancer and support their families in the challenges they face.

“Jacob’s Heart was a beacon of hope for my family during the darkest days of my daughter’s cancer battle. Their unwavering support and generosity helped alleviate the financial burdens, allowing us to focus solely on our daughter’s recovery. We are forever grateful for their kindness and commitment to helping families like ours.”

Helping More Families In Santa Clara County
In 2024, we made the thoughtful decision to expand further into Santa Clara County. Taking a careful zip code-by-zip code approach we ensure that new families receive the same level of care without compromising the support we provide to our current families.

With the support of our community and an invaluable partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital we expanded into seven new zips codes last year. As Jacob’s Hearts continues to expand resources, infrastructure, and funding we look forward to opening our doors to even more families who have had their lives changed by pediatric cancer.

“Unfortunately, my son was diagnosed with Leukemia for about six years. He has gone through a lot, it has been very hard and stressful for us as his parents and for our family too. Besides Jacob’s Heart supporting us emotionally, they have helped us financially with grocery gift cards, gas cards, and weekly groceries. We don't know how we would have done it without Jacob’s Heart. Thank you again from all of us.”

Family Services Provided in 2024

“Jacob’s Heart came into my life after the unexpected and devastating loss of our beloved daughter, Yalissa. My family and I were fortunate to be connected with them for services to cope with our grief after our loss. With their support and services, my family and I have been able to push through our grief journey and the immense heartbreak left from our loss. From services like support groups to therapy, Jacob’s Heart has made a huge impact on my family and me. Grief is a long and hard journey, a journey that Jacob’s Heart has walked with me and for that I will be forever grateful.”

Where the Support Came From

How the Support was Shared

Annual Events Create Connections and Build Community
From our Golf Tournament to Camp Heart + Hands, our 2024 events were filled with love, connection, and unwavering support. We were grateful to gather in person for the first year of our Soirée and Golf Tournament, two incredible fundraising events that brought our community together and raised vital funds to support families facing pediatric cancer

That same spirit of togetherness was felt at our Forever Loved Retreat, where bereaved families spent a meaningful weekend connecting with others on similar journeys. Families also had some fun in the sun last August at Camp Heart + Hands for kiddos in-treatment and remission. Both camps are a way for families to connect and support each other, creating a space of love and belonging that is integral to Jacob’s Heart mission.

“Jacob’s Heart has given us their support, they have made us feel that they are a family that is aware of the needs that have been caused by my son’s illness and they make us feel that they are there to give us their support, both emotionally, for transportation, and financially. Thank you very much Jacob’s Heart.”
