On Saturday August 19th 2017, the Outrigger Santa Cruz men’s and women’s teams will compete in three exciting outrigger canoe races at the Santa Cruz Harbor. The simple goal of these canoe races is to take a big stand against childhood cancer.
The men’s and women’s outrigger teams are raising money for Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Services. In the face of cancer, they’re the big brothers and big sisters who’ll stand up to cancer and say “not this time”.
You can help these amazing athletes in a big way. Help them give these kids more help, more hope and more of a chance to call tomorrow a reality. 100% of your donation goes straight to Jacobs Heart Children’s Cancer Services. Every dollar, every penny goes to help these courageous kids fight for their right to continue to be a kid and to be able to look at the future with hope.
The Monterey Canoe Races on Memorial Weekend brought in almost $3,000. The goal for the Santa Cruz races is to raise an additional $3000 for Jacob’s Heart. If you would like to support the efforts of the good men and women of Outrigger Santa Cruz, click here.
