Become a superhero and have a blast at the Kidrageous Super Fun Run. Registered runners receive a red superhero cape and run alongside real superheroes.
Before and after the run, learn about superhero nutrition and fitness. Find out how easy it is to strengthen your body by eating the right superhero foods. While you learn how to empower yourself, enjoy music, take a skateboarding lesson, watch the Surfing Magician show, create art, get your face painted, munch on healthy snacks and more.
Enter our SUPER RAFFLE and win BIG! Raffle tickets will be available at the event. Raffle prizes from: Pizza Antica, Sino, Roots & Rye, Straits Cafe, The Counter, Pressed Juicery, Aesthetx and more! You may walk away with a gift certificate to an amazing restaurant, a dream dinner, tickets to the San Jose ballet or kid’s ballet classes for a year!
After your child runs with the superheroes, take a barre3 class in the park at 10am. Bring your mat, water bottle and bestie and have some fun too! There won’t be childcare available, so bring a friend to keep an eye on the kids at the Super Fun Run activity tables! 30 spots are available with a suggested donation of $20.
Money raised at the Fun Run will be used to fund Superheroes Against Childhood Cancer, an integrated nutrition and wellness program of Jacob’s Heart Children’s Cancer Support Services. Read more about SACC below.

SUPERHEROES AGAINST CHILDHOOD CANCER
Integrated Nutrition and Wellness
Superheroes Against Childhood Cancer focuses on nutrition, fitness and full body-wellness during and after cancer treatment. With the support of Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford, Jacob’s Heart provides families with nutritional counseling, healthy cooking demonstrations, immune-boosting recipes, and fitness tips. This program was created to strengthen children with cancer and their families.
In 1999, Jacob’s Heart led the grassroots efforts to establish the month of September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the State of California. Kidrageous started as an innovative way to gather signatures for a petition, which was sent to Governor Gray Davis by Bruce McPherson. From a petition started in a parking lot in Santa Cruz, Governor Davis issued an executive order proclaiming September as Childhood Cancer Awareness Month. The proclamation was later confirmed by concurrent resolution of the State Senate. Now, Childhood Cancer Awareness Month is celebrated across the country every September, with an annual proclamation by the President.

The 19th Annual Kidrageous Carnival at the Watsonville City Plaza is a day of fun for your entire family honoring and celebrating Jacob’s Heart children and their families. Every activity at Kidrageous is in honor of or in memory of a local child with cancer. Carnival fun fills the day with magicians, clowns, arts and crafts, bounce houses, face painting and more.
Register for the Golden Gallop and run, walk or stroll in the 5K race along the gorgeous Pacific Coast Recreation Trail in Monterey. After the 5k race join us for a special Golden Celebration honoring local pediatric cancer warriors and their families. You’ll enjoy live music, a costume contest, costumed characters, fun activities, bounce houses, food trucks and more.
