Full Hearts Grocery Program
Jacob’s Heart’s Full Hearts Program provides fresh and nutritious groceries to families while also educating them on the benefits of healthy food choices.
Jacob’s Heart provides one bag of fresh produce and one bag of shelf stable pantry goods every other week to an average of 70 families. Jacob’s Heart also operates a Pantry Program where families are able to visit our office to pick out food and clothing items.
The Full Hearts Program is a great way to give back in a meaningful way to our families. Check out all of the ways you can become involved!
Packing Full Hearts Grocery Bags
Every Thursday, starting at 9:30 am, groceries are packed to be delivered to our families or for our Pantry Program. Packing is on-site at the Jacob’s Heart Family Center at 680 West Beach Street in Watsonville.
Grocery Deliveries to Jacob’s Heart Families
Every other week, volunteers help deliver groceries to our families’ doorsteps. Volunteers pick up groceries on Thursdays after 1 pm or any time on Friday. Routes are pre-printed with all of the information needed to deliver the groceries.
Volunteers need to be background checked (Live Scan process.)
Groceries are delivered to the following areas:
- Santa Cruz
- The Monterey Peninsula
- Morgan Hill
Every other Thursday, Jacob’s Heart hosts a pantry day between the hours of 12 pm and 2 pm. Jacob’s Heart families are invited to visit the Jacob’s Heart Family Center to select fresh produce, shelf stable pantry goods, and clothing items. Volunteers accompany families through the Family Center, to help families select items as well as building relationships with our families.
